When Mizuki first ventures out her door on Sunday, she finds herself neighboring Nigel; they're both investigating, and he's doing it with an enviable sense of childlike wonder. Neku is checking hands, giving her a creepy then snarky impression of him. The portrait gallery is occupied by both Nagisa and the witty, inventive heiress Violet. Dark Dream is exploring the media room, and Mizuki helps her insert a VHS even though that format originates before she was born. On her way back, she helps Seven.

The Queen and Cat accept Mizuki's scorn, with Dark Dream riffing on the mirror themes. Niko accepts the tea party theme and lures Mizuki in.

Week 1

Right away on Monday, Mizuki joins Nigel on an investigation of the unused rooms, and she explains the process they discovered to Dark Dream. Unfortunately, they've found a mysterious portrait of Oriko's canonmate, which Mizuki presents to her at tea time.

Tuesday, realizing she will stay long enough to train, Mizuki hauls benches from the foyer for a bench press, her strength garnering attention from Cori, Niko, Allen (whom she teaches the true meaning of "reps"), and Veronika (who has a lot to share about her world's nature). She also is in the library, where Gil lets her have a moment's peace but Natsuo and Youji in tandem not so much (though Mizuki already had a bad impression of them from their initial audience with the queen). At dinnertime, Mizuki and Nigel join Nagisa and formulate a plan for the group of about twenty to be divided into four "sectors" of two kids and two teens under one leader; Mizuki unilaterally nominates Niko as the fourth leader after the three of them.

At the meeting, they present their proposal (and clues). She defends the idea to Oriko somberly and Lena more defensively. Veronica feels left out, causing Mizuki to blurt out her past, leading Niko to pump her for information; with Nigel's encouragement, Mizuki integrates Veronica as her sector's vice leader. Dark Dream joins the sector. So do Seven and Cori, satisfying the leaders as at least one full sector of five forms.

Saturday marks the start of a Halloween party

Week 2

On Sunday, Ib is killed, and Mizuki declares "it's on sight". She attends the mini-meeting afterwards.
Tuesday: motive - hosts the meeting I'm not unpacking right now
On Wednesday, she has a yard sard where Dark Dream relieves her of triggering balloons and Amdi makes himself a clipboard, followed by a sector board game tournament.
On the Thursday night sleepover, she is in low spirits; she admits to Oriko that the sleepover is a trap for the residents outside it - such as Natsuo, who also gets to hear this delightful reasoning.

On Friday, Violet is murdered; Mizuki submits to a shoe check that catches the culprit. She chews out Cori and picks a fight with Franziska during the voting. Doing her best to comfort Seven again, even through Niko's new cynicism, Mizuki is shocked by the execution. She chips in as they evacuate Amdi whom Natsuo and Youji are threatening with a knife.

Mizuki wants to be alone after all that excitement; her most important conversation is with Nagisa. She characterizes her behavior as abnormal, a self-image she internalized from her abusive mother; Nagisa confides his own abuse and reiterates that "the problem isn't us". With this healthier definition of family, she can point out to Seven that he's being crazy unhealthy. Mizuki is desperate to explain to Nigel that her judgment was clouded, and he proposes a duel, giving her Franziska's original riding crop. Neku checking in on her is a pleasant surprise. Mizuki makes sure to reassure herself of Niko's loyalty.

Mizuki tries to understand, but the best she can do is abstain from the settled majority vote. Gavroche laments. The sector leaders meet as the trio they perhaps always were.

Week 5

Mizuki spends the next three days hammering the Niko Niko Machine, to the concern of Nagisa and Oriko; she checks in on Seven and Dark Dream at night. The motive is something disgusting to both Gil and Nagisa.

Alice is murdered. In the trial, Mizuki votes for Oriko without regrets. Dark Dream was making a doll of Alice.

Week 6

Mizuki chooses to be mostly relieved by her motive video of Date. Seven is murdered. Nagisa is found guilty, intensely. Mizuki nearly hosts an afterparty.
